We are thrilled to announce that Search Press has won the Specialist Consumer Publisher of the Year for the third time!
The judges said: “Search Press had a great year of imaginative publishing and success in new markets. It’s a family-owned business that epitomises independence and is not just a UK publisher but a global name.”
In deciding on the winner, the judges look for outstanding publishing organisations and Search Press are proud to be recognised for our robust business strategy and high-quality commissioning, editing, design and production. Alongside our successful sales and marketing pursuits, detailed customer and market knowledge and high levels of customer service and satisfaction. This award is a true testament to the integrity of the whole team at Search Press who strive towards great commercial success through innovation, creativity and vision!
We were up against brilliant specialist publishers Batsford Books, who publish a variety of books on topics including culture, design, architecture, fashion, poetry and chess, and Nick Hern Books who are a theatre publisher and performing rights agents.
IPG said: Search Press achieved sharp growth across its specialisms in art, craft and creative lifestyle books in 2025. It ramped up international sales, diversified into innovative new formats of publishing and expanded its online courses.
We are proud to continue to thrive as an independent, family-run press and that our books and innovative products prove the passion and skill that our people demonstrate. Thank you to the Independent Publishers Guild for this great honour!
